After the successful launch of the master pilot event edition as part of an event at the company headquarters of Junghans, the series model of the master pilot is now on board. The distinctive design and mechanical independence make the timepiece the perfect copilot on the wrist.

The distinctive design elements of the legendary Junghans Fliegeruhr from the 1950s can be found in the standard model of the Meisterpilot. The timepiece combines this with the soft, stylish form language of today's champion line. The elegant and subtle cut of the case and the flowing belt impacts concentrate the attention of the pilot consistently on the large time display. The sapphire glass, which is anti-reflective on both sides, offers the best view of the clear luminous numbers and distinctive pointers. Even in low light conditions and at night, the watch allows fast orientation and best readability. On the dial itself there is a bicompax display, the two totalizers of which are arranged on the axis 3-9.

Practical tradition

The high requirements of the aviation industry for the measurement of time were already established by Junghans in the 1930s and produced clocks for air traffic. They were made in terrace 7 of today's protected terrace construction, which by its construction for conditions at that time the filigre work of the watchmakers offered optimal lighting conditions. Also in the legendary Bundeswehrchronograph of 1955 reflected the classical instrument optics of the cockpit.

The master-pilot's design is inspired by this: the twelve distinctive, concave indentations guarantee a good grip on the two-way rotating bezel and ensure the distinctive look of the timepiece.

A special feature is the seven-fold screwed case bottom: a specially designed windrose, which takes the symbolic language of classic aviation in the form of an artificial horizon. The riveted leather strap ensures a secure fit on the wrist. The special design principle of the front mounting gives the timepiece an extraordinary elegance for flying clocks - and the ease required to take off.
